Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant in Haematology to join our dynamic team at Northampton General Hospital. As a key member of our medical staff, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality haematology services to our patients. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical care to patients with haematological disorders.

Lead and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans. Engage in teaching and training of junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare professionals. Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols. Participate in clinical governance activities, including audit and quality improvement projects. Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care, including documentation and reporting. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of haematology advancements through continuing professional development.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practice.

Completion of higher specialist training in Haematology. Possession of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent in Haematology. Experience in managing a wide range of haematological conditions.

Desirable Skills:

• Strong clinical skills with a patient-centred approach.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to ongoing professional development and research. Experience in leading clinical services or projects.

Compliance Requirements:

• Completion of NHS mandatory training.

Adherence to GMC standards and professional codes of conduct. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data protection.
