About the Role
Our client is recruiting a GP with an Extended Role (GPwER) in ADHD/Mental Health to join its expanding community neurodevelopmental service.
Working alongside an experienced consultant-led multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will support the assessment, monitoring, and ongoing management of adults with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions within a community-based setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP with an interest in mental health and neurodevelopmental disorders looking to further specialise within a growing service.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ADHD assessments, follow-up reviews, and medication monitoring
- Support patient management including titration, prescribing, and treatment planning
- Manage patient queries and provide clinical advice regarding ADHD medications and side effects
- Review and interpret investigation results including ECGs and blood tests
- Work collaboratively with consultants, specialist nurses, GPs, and MDT colleagues
- Support clinical governance, audits, and service development initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation using SystmOne and associated clinical systems
- Contribute to patient education and support around ADHD and neurodevelopmental disorders

- General psychiatry or mental health experience

- Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills
- Ability to work independently and flexibly within community services

- Previous ADHD or neurodevelopmental service experience
- Experience delivering education or training
- Experience within community mental health services
- Experience using SystmOne
