What you’ll do:
- Deliver personalised, one-to-one or small group tuition, mainly in-person
- Adapt lessons to SEND learners’ needs, focusing heavily on engagement and confidence-building
- Support curriculum-aligned progress in core subjects (primarily Maths and English) at KS1–KS4, GCSE, or Functional Skills level
- Maintain professional communication and reporting with students, parents, and the client schools
What you need (Essential):
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience with strong core subject knowledge (Maths and English)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, but not essential if you have substantial classroom or SEND experience
- Experience tutoring or supporting learners in a structured environment
- Ability to drive and travel within ~30 minutes of assigned students
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one for in-person sessions
- Fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Excellent in your communication, timekeeping, reliability, and reporting
