What you need
- A recognised qualification in Mental Health, Counselling, Psychotherapy, or Social Work (e.g., BACP, BABCP, HCPC, or equivalent professional accreditation)
- Right to work in the UK
- An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Experience working with children and young people in educational settings, particularly those experiencing emotional, behavioural, or psychological difficulties
- Proven experience supporting individuals with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), including autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Skills in implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions (such as CBT, mindfulness, or play therapy) tailored to a school context
- Strong background in crisis intervention, risk assessment, and mental health triaging within a school or clinical setting
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively
- A compassionate approach combined with exceptional communication skills suitable for collaborating with children, parents, and educational staff
