As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice in an Alternative Provision setting, you will support learners who have a range of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and SEND needs.
You will
- Enjoy a schedule with ideal daytime hours (Monday–Thursday, 09:30–14:30).
- Work alongside setting staff to create a safe, encouraging environment where every learner has the opportunity to progress.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with young people who require additional emotional and academic support.
- Adapt your approach to meet individual student needs, ensuring learning remains accessible and engaging.
- Bring a resilient, empathetic attitude to the classroom, helping students build confidence and overcome barriers.
- Actively engage in your apprenticeship training, applying new skills directly to your day-to-day role.
What you’ll need
- A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a true desire to help young people succeed (no extensive prior experience required).
