We are currently building local talent pools in Scunthorpe to support specialized learning environments. To expand our coverage, we are inviting Alternative Provision (AP) Facilitators to pre-register. Typical responsibilities may involve:

- Maintaining a safe, purposeful environment by utilizing de-escalation techniques and positive behavior support.
- Monitoring progress through non-traditional metrics and providing feedback that fosters confidence and re-engagement.
- Adapting activities to meet Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ensuring all learners can access the curriculum.
- Working closely with SENCOs, social workers, and parents to support a holistic approach to student welfare.
Requirements to be successful in an Alternative Provision setting:
- QTS, QTLS, or a recognized level 3+ qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, or Special Educational Needs.
- Proven experience working with children or young people with complex needs, including SEMH, ASD, or ADHD.
- Certification in recognized behavior management strategies (e.g., Team Teach, MAPA, or Price) is highly desirable.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and pivot delivery methods based on the emotional state of the classroom.
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- A patient, non-judgmental approach and a commitment to re-engaging marginalized learners.
