About Flexzo Teach
Flexzo Teach is a recruitment, safeguarding and compliance platform that enables educational settings to book education professionals directly, without the need for an agency, managed service provider or other third-party intermediaries. Educational settings use the platform for workforce cover, long-term placements and permanent recruitment. We are building local talent pools so more settings can switch on direct bookings in Leighton Buzzard. To expand coverage where you live, we are inviting Alternate Provision Instructors to pre-register. Getting started takes a CV upload and a short profile setup. When you join, it helps us show local educational settings that they can meet cover needs through a direct model, with transparency and direct communication with you.
What you can expect
- Access flexible work across local educational settings (short-term cover, long-term placements and permanent opportunities)
- Receive direct booking requests and messages from settings through the platform
- Set your availability and preferred working patterns
- Set your hourly or day rate with full transparency
- Be visible to settings building internal staff banks and collaborative staff banks, meaning you may also be requested for interview as schools and trusts expand their local banks
- Access opportunities across a range of key stages and settings, depending on your experience and preferences
Typical responsibilities (varies by setting)
Depending on the education provision, you may support with:
- Delivering planned learning in line with the setting’s curriculum and policies
- Maintaining a purposeful learning environment and supporting behaviour expectations in line with setting policy
- Assessing learning as required by the setting and providing feedback that supports progress
- Adapting learning activities to support inclusive practice, including reasonable adjustments where required
- Working collaboratively with support staff and wider education teams
- Following safeguarding and compliance processes and escalating concerns in line with setting policy
Requirements
- Teaching Qualification (QTS) or equivalent experience
- Experience teaching in an educational setting relevant to the role (e.g., EYFS, Primary, Secondary)
- Experience in Alternative Provision, SEMH or specialist Setting
- Outdoor Learning, creative or project-based learning experience
- Right to work in the UK
- DBS certificate (or willingness to complete one if required)
- Strong classroom practice, communication, and professional conduct in education settings
