About the Role
We are working in partnership with an NHS Trust in Salisbury to recruit an experienced Respiratory Consultant to support outpatient respiratory services. This role is primarily focused on outpatient clinics, referral triage, pre-investigation, and Advice & Guidance, helping to improve access to specialist respiratory care and support patient flow. The post will include a mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations. The role is largely site-based to support clinical activity; however, some flexibility may be considered depending on service needs and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver consultant-led outpatient respiratory clinics.
- Undertake referral triage and pre-investigation to support efficient patient pathways.
- Provide Advice & Guidance to primary care and referrers.
- Conduct telephone and virtual consultations, alongside face-to-face appointments.
- Apply evidence-based practice and sound clinical judgement to respiratory care.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.

- Proven experience delivering outpatient respiratory services at consultant level
- Strong decision-making and communication skills
