About the Role

We are recruiting a Specialty Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry to support a clients growing Community ADHD Service. Working alongside an experienced consultant specialist team, the successful candidate will play a key role in the assessment, monitoring, and ongoing management of patients with ADHD and other neurodevelopmental disorders within a community-based service. This is an excellent opportunity for a doctor with an interest in neurodevelopmental psychiatry looking to further develop specialist expertise within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct ADHD and neurodevelopmental assessments, reviews, and follow-up clinics
  • Support medication titration, monitoring, and prescribing management
  • Review investigation results including ECGs and blood tests
  • Provide clinical advice and support via the ADHD telephone query service
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, specialist nurses, and wider MDT teams
  • Support clinical governance, audit, and service development activities
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation using SystmOne and associated systems
  • Contribute to education and support for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Minimum 2 years’ psychiatry experience
  • Strong general adult psychiatry knowledge
  • Interest in ADHD and neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly across services
  • Computer literacy and understanding of clinical systems

Desirable

  • Previous ADHD or neurodevelopmental service experience
  • Experience delivering education or training
  • Experience within community mental health services
  • Full UK driving licence
