About the Role

We are recruiting a Band 6 Community Dietitian to join the Community Adult Rehabilitation Service within CNWL. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering specialist nutritional support to adults within their own homes, care homes, and intermediate care settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist dietetic assessment and treatment for adults requiring nutritional support, including Home Enteral Tube Feeding (HETF)
  • Deliver evidence-based nutritional interventions for patients who are malnourished, at risk of malnutrition, or enterally fed
  • Assess and calculate nutritional requirements, including food fortification, oral nutritional supplements, and enteral feeding regimens
  • Provide dietary counselling and support behaviour change to patients, families, and carers
  • Make recommendations to GPs regarding appropriate prescribing of oral nutritional supplements and enteral feeds
  • Participate in MDT meetings, discharge planning, and collaborative community care pathways
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and caseload management
  • Support training and education for healthcare staff, carers, and students
  • Contribute to audit, service development, and quality improvement initiatives

Essential Requirements

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in Dietetics
  • HCPC registration as a Dietitian
  • Experience working within community or adult rehabilitation settings
  • Knowledge of nutritional support, including oral nutrition support and enteral feeding
  • Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload effectively
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community visits

Desirable

  • Experience in Home Enteral Tube Feeding services
  • Experience supervising students or support staff
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation and long-term condition management
  • Experience contributing to audit or service development projects
