About the Role

We are working in partnership with an NHS service in Oxford to recruit an experienced and motivated Cardiac Physiologist to join a supportive, forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as a senior member of the Cardiac Physiology team, delivering a full range of diagnostic and treatment services, including Echocardiography and Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM).
  • Practise as an independent echocardiography practitioner, with the ability to take a lead or supportive role in CRM activities.
  • Support the development and delivery of cardiac services, contributing to training, procurement, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Provide education, supervision, and assessment for colleagues and learners in both group and one-to-one settings.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and the implementation of best practice in line with current cardiology standards.

Person Specification

Qualifications – Essential

  • BSc in Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent
  • BSE accreditation in Echocardiography

Desirable

  • Evidence of ongoing CPD
  • Teaching and/or assessing qualification
  • BHRS / IBHRE accreditation

Experience – Essential

  • Experience caring for patients with cardiac conditions
  • Experience delivering teaching and assessment in group and one-to-one settings
  • Involvement in service development
