We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Consultant Upper GI Surgeon to join our dynamic surgical team at Northampton General Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform a range of Upper GI surgical procedures with a high degree of skill and care.
- Provide expert clinical leadership and guidance to junior surgical staff and multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in on‑call rotas, ensuring timely and effective surgical interventions.
- Engage in continuous professional development and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of surgical advancements.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and research activities within the department.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
- Required Qualifications and Experience
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Completion of higher surgical training in Upper GI Surgery.
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) or equivalent.
- Evidence of higher specialist training and experience in Upper GI Surgery.
- NHS mandatory training completion.
