We’re recruiting a Typist / Clerical Support Officer to support a busy clinical administration team in Bath. This is a full-time temporary role until the end of March, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage digital dictation and day-to-day admin support.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing a comprehensive secretarial and clerical service to clinical professionals
- Typing and distributing documents and reports, recording information, and maintaining accurate filing
- Ensuring patient information/data is accurate, complete, and available at the right time
- Updating records after appointments and retrieving supplementary documentation as needed
- Maintaining a case note tracking system, escalating delays or issues promptly
- Using electronic systems for correspondence, clinic management, and results retrieval
- Typing clinic letters using a digital dictation (audio typing) system
- Supporting general office tasks such as opening/sorting post
- Maintaining confidentiality and professional communication standards
- Keeping a tidy office/working environment and supporting team cover when needed
What we’re looking for (essential):
- Audio typing / digital dictation experience
- Minimum 45 wpm typing speed
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, email, and office applications)
