We’re recruiting a Typist / Clerical Support Officer to support a busy clinical administration team in Bath. This is a full-time temporary role until the end of March, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage digital dictation and day-to-day admin support.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing a comprehensive secretarial and clerical service to clinical professionals
  • Typing and distributing documents and reports, recording information, and maintaining accurate filing
  • Ensuring patient information/data is accurate, complete, and available at the right time
  • Updating records after appointments and retrieving supplementary documentation as needed
  • Maintaining a case note tracking system, escalating delays or issues promptly
  • Using electronic systems for correspondence, clinic management, and results retrieval
  • Typing clinic letters using a digital dictation (audio typing) system
  • Supporting general office tasks such as opening/sorting post
  • Maintaining confidentiality and professional communication standards
  • Keeping a tidy office/working environment and supporting team cover when needed

What we’re looking for (essential):

  • Audio typing / digital dictation experience
  • Minimum 45 wpm typing speed
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Word, email, and office applications)
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask
