Kettering General Hospital is recruiting a Consultant Haematologist to join its established and collaborative Haematology team within the University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing department delivering both malignant and non-malignant haematology services within a supportive multidisciplinary environment, with strong links to Leicester and regional tertiary services.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality inpatient, outpatient, and laboratory haematology services while contributing to teaching, research, governance, and future service development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver comprehensive clinical haematology care across inpatient and outpatient services
  • Lead consultant-led ward rounds and specialist haematology clinics
  • Participate in MDT meetings, transfusion support, and laboratory haematology services
  • Support teaching and supervision of junior doctors and undergraduate students
  • Contribute to audit, governance, quality improvement, and service development initiatives
  • Participate in the 1:4 consultant on-call rota
What We’re Looking For:
  • Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practise
  • MRCP (UK) or equivalent
  • FRCPath or equivalent qualification
  • Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in Haematology (or within 6 months of CCT/CESR)
  • Broad clinical and laboratory haematology experience
  • Strong communication, leadership, and MDT working skills
