We are recruiting a Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in major general, urology, and gynae-oncology surgery to join a well-established department in Northampton.

About the Role

  • Deliver anaesthesia for major elective and complex surgical procedures
  • Work across general surgery, urology, gynae-oncology, and day surgery
  • Participate in a 1:12 on-call rota
  • Contribute to perioperative care, MDT working, and service development
  • Support teaching, audit, and quality improvement initiatives

The department supports around 20,000 procedures annually across multiple theatre suites and specialist services.

What We’re Looking For

  • Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise
  • CCT/CESR in Anaesthesia (or within 6 months)
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register (or eligibility)
  • Experience in major general and complex surgical anaesthesia
  • Interest in perioperative medicine (desirable)
