About the Role

We are working with a private healthcare provider to recruit experienced Orthopaedic Consultants to support specialist outpatient clinics across multiple sites in Birmingham. We are particularly interested in consultants with specialist interests in:

  • Spinal Orthopaedics
  • Hip Clinics
  • Upper Limb Orthopaedics

This is a flexible opportunity offering sessions to suit your availability, supporting increasing patient demand across elective orthopaedic pathways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialist orthopaedic outpatient consultations
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions
  • Provide treatment recommendations, investigations, and onward referral plans where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and diagnostic services
  • Support efficient patient pathways and clinic delivery across community clinic sites

What We’re Looking For

  • GMC registered Orthopaedic Consultant with Licence to Practise
  • Specialist experience within:
    • Spinal Orthopaedics
    • Hip Pathways
    • Upper Limb Orthopaedics
  • Experience independently running outpatient clinics
  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple Birmingham clinic locations
