The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Consultant Medical Oncologist with a specialist interest in Breast and Colorectal cancers to join a cohesive, ambitious team based at the Dyson Cancer Centre (opened April 2024).
The role
- Provide consultant-level systemic anticancer therapy (SACT) services for Breast & Colorectal patients, working closely with established MDTs.
- Participate in the consultant on-call rota (currently 1:8) supporting acute oncology/inpatient care.
- Contribute to teaching, training, clinical governance and service development within a supportive consultant body.
- Opportunities to engage in a strong clinical trials and research environment with an active portfolio.
Job plan
- 10 PAs with 8.5 DCC : 1.5 SPA split.
- LTFT / job share applications welcome.
Essential requirements
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice (essential).
- On the Specialist Register (or expected within 6 months).
- Demonstrable specialist skills/experience aligned to Breast & Colorectal oncology, with confident MDT working.
