About You

You will join our EMEA Buyside Client Services team in London and gain structured exposure to financial markets technology and trading software. You will work as part of the client-facing technical implementation and delivery teams that support the FlexTrade suite of software and interact with our clients to understand their needs, design solutions and implement them, alongside the FlexTrade development team. The internship reflects the core components of the Associate Technical Analyst role, scaled appropriately for a supervised learning environment. Successful interns may be considered for future internship opportunities or entry into the Associate Technical Analyst graduate programme, subject to performance and business requirements.

Summer Internship Programme (10-12 weeks)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Client Services team members in analysing and investigating technical queries
  • Assist in understanding business workflows and translating them into technical problem statements.
  • Participate in client calls, internal case reviews and handovers under supervision.
  • Contribute to internal documentation, knowledge bases and process improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with development, support and sales engineering teams.

Internship Programme Structure

This internship follows a structured 4-phase programme:

  • Phase 1: Onboarding & Foundations (2 weeks): Structured training on company, products, systems and the financial markets overall.
  • Phase 2: Shadowing & Guided Learning (2 weeks): Shadowing Client Services analysts and observing real client interactions
  • Phase 3: Supervised Practical Experience (4 weeks): Hands‑on involvement in day-to-day tasks under close supervision.
  • Phase 4: Project‑Based Learning & Review (2 weeks): Completion of final project or presentation and formal feedback review.
  • Team Rotations (2 weeks): Two 1‑week rotations in Software Development and Sales Engineering, providing exposure to system architecture, development lifecycle and pre‑sales activities.

Essential

  • Currently studying towards a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a numerate or technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics)
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Strong interest in financial markets, technology and client‑facing roles.

Desirable

  • Exposure to programming or scripting languages (e.g. Python, Java, SQL).
  • Prior internship, project or coursework experience in a technical environment.
  • Fluency in an additional European language.
