About You You will be senior engineer in Service Delivery team with strong expertise in Windows engineering.
The team is responsible for Site Resiliency Engineering and Incident Management.
You will play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and improving our Saa S environment.
The Saa S infrastructure technology includes VMware.
AWS, Azure, Citrix, Windows, Linux and Cisco., making heavy use of configuration management, automation, and source control best practices.
Responsibilities Proactively identify and remediate any performance, capacity issues and resiliency weaknesses in the Saa S Infrastructure. (active Ops Ramp / SW Monitoring etc.)Ensure resiliency best practices are followed throughout the technology stack Implement with discipline SMEs resilient design in the technology stack Provide L2-3 support for incidents, Critical and the hosting and operations of our Saa S solutions Oversee and implement scalable, and robust Engineering best practice design.
Hands-on implementation of Ad HOC ‘special projects’ to improve the capabilities of the Saa S platforms.
Perform Incident Management.
Diagnosis and remediation of complex issues across servers, storage, infrastructure, virtualization, and Citrix environments Participation in critical ITS processes (Problem, Change, configuration and Incident management etc.).
Drive process improvements, and implementation of operational best practices including client onboarding / offboarding, technology deployment standards and permission to operate documentation Participation in Weekend on call schedule.
On site Datacenter visits hands on initiatives Participate in creation of RCA for critical outages Ongoing support of VSD team Actively engage in the effort of ITS achieving a more proactive and preventative posture in all aspects of the technology infrastructure Patch management Automate tasks with basic scripting Troubleshoot incidents and handle escalations to vendors where appropriate Provide system performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning Participate in any and all technology projects / BAU initiatives designed to better service the firm.
Requirements Systems administration experience across Windows, VMware, Citrix, & Storage Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory.
Strong Citrix experience is also a plus Working knowledge and experience with VMware & Storage Working knowledge and experience with Red Hat Linux Solid understanding of Networking, routing, VLANs, and general networking concepts Proven troubleshooting skills across multiple infrastructure layers Working knowledge of Monitoring systems, ITIL and Ticketing systems (preferably SNOW)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences Proactive mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Must be positive and able to develop and sustain a culture that places our customers’ needs at the forefront of every decision Flex Trade Systems, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status, or any other status protected by law.
