Flexjet is currently seeking a talented Software Engineer who is passionate about innovation and web technologies to join our development team. Flexjet empowers software engineers to learn, innovate, and apply their skills to deliver technical solutions. Our team has opportunities to work with varied departments for multiple brands across the private aviation industry.
Software Engineer Responsibilities
- Design & build scalable .NET 8+ microservices and RESTful APIs
- Own database schemas in MS SQL Server and integrate Kafka event-driven patterns
- Collaborate with frontend, mobile, QA, Ops & Product teams
- Innovate with AI-powered solutions used within your own processes and for the business
- Learn and mentor code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions and demos
Education & Experience
- 3+ yrs C#/.NET Core + API dev
- Strong SQL development and object-oriented-programming (OOP)
- Solid experience with microservices & cloud architecture
- Agile and CI/CD (preferably within Microsoft Azure DevOps)
- Good organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills that develop and foster a collaborative team culture
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Working knowledge of .NET Framework 4.5+, .NET Core, Visual Studio, C#, and front-end frameworks (preferably Angular)
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software as necessary
- Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
- Candidate should be self-motivated, and work well both independently and with a team
- Passionate about building high-quality systems with software implementation best practices
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Well-developed interpersonal skills that promote and foster a team culture
- Candidate should drive towards team solutions instead of independent heroism
- Possess good organizational skills, and communication skills both written and verbal
- Must possess the legal ability to work in the United Kingdom
