Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is currently looking for Apprentice Interior Installation Technicians to join our team for a career-focused, 'earn while you learn', on-the-job experience.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the removal, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and installation of aircraft interior components including:
- Seats
- Sidewalls and interior paneling
- Carpets and insulation
- Windows
- Galleys and lavatory modules
- Passenger service and support systems
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical training in aviation, manufacturing, construction, or a related field is considered an asset
- Previous hands-on experience (assembly, installation, construction, automotive, cabinetry, etc.) is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English required)
- Basic computer skills (Windows and MS Office)
REQUIREMENTS
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools
- Ability to read measuring devices and perform basic mathematical calculations
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Regular periods during which physical effort is required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment
- Exposure to factors such as temperature variations/extremes, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, and materials which can cause periods of discomfort.
- Work involves repetitive, hands-on tasks requiring sustained physical effort and manual dexterity.
- Able to lift and transport up to 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
- Able to wear protective equipment for extended periods of time including particle masks, goggles, assorted gloves, head bonnets, and disposable protective suits.
- Frequent need to give concentrated attention, with one or two senses at a time, where stimuli are changing.
- Occasional direct and indirect pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy, or similar demands.
