Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is currently looking for an experienced Avionics Service Tech to join our team! This position is located at our Chesterfield, MO location.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoots, repairs, modifies and calibrates aircraft electronic systems and components.
- Certifies integrated avionic systems and components at intermediate levels utilizing shop avionics support equipment and specialized precision measuring equipment.
- Analyzes malfunctions and calibrates and performs maintenance on avionics support equipment using calibration standards.
- Installs, aligns and wires electrical and electronic components such as sensors, radio communications, antennas and lights.
- Performs continuity checks and functional checkouts of complete aircraft systems.
- Processes Inspection forms and signs name, as technician, after their work is completed.
- Notifies proper authority of any suspected unairworthy conditions found during the performance of their duties.
- Sets up and operates necessary test equipment, conducts functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude without compromising quality.
- Presents a clean and neat work area to customers, ensuring facility cleanliness and general housekeeping.
- Performs other duties as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A&P License not required but preferred.
- 4 years of related corporate avionics experience.
- Must be highly proficient in both troubleshooting/service and installation sides of the role.
- Advanced certification in avionics preferred.
- Must be flexible with shift work (3rd shift and one day per weekend).
- Must be able to stand, sit, and bend for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to pass background check and achieve airport badge.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Must be willing to work first or second shift, weekends and holidays.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
