Warehouse Shift Supervisor

Shift supervisor position available for warehouse based in Houghton Regis.

Afternoon shift Monday to Friday but some flexibility for weekends is needed.

They are looking for someone with previous experience in warehouse shift supervisor and longevity of employment.

Immediate start for right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations and manage shift schedules to ensure efficient workflow.
• Supervise and train team members in warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate inventory management.
• Utilize warehouse management systems to track materials and optimize logistics.
• Ensure compliance with business processes and maintain high standards of warehouse organization.
• Facilitate effective communication among team members and resolve any operational issues.

Qualifications

• Proven warehouse experience with a strong emphasis on team management and shift supervision.
• Familiarity with materials handling and logistics processes.
• Proficient in operating forklifts and utilizing warehouse management systems.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving protocols, as well as mechanical understanding for equipment maintenance.
• Experience with third-party logistics (3PL) and heavy lifting tasks.
