We are looking for skilled and motivated HGV Fitters / Heavy Vehicle Technicians to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work Monday to Friday on a day shift, giving you your evenings and weekends free while being part of a supportive and professional workshop team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
- Complete inspections, safety checks, and MOT preparation.
- Ensure all work is carried out efficiently and to the highest safety standards.
- Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records.
- Work independently and as part of a supportive workshop team.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as an HGV Fitter, HGV Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Good knowledge of HGV maintenance and repair procedures.
- A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential for candidates with proven experience.
- HGV licence is advantageous but not essential.
