We are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Production Manager to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Dunstable. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has progressed from a hands-on Production Operative role into production leadership and management. We are looking for a confident individual with a strong personality who can lead from the front, motivate teams, and maintain high production standards in a fast-paced environment. Experience within the glass manufacturing industry would be highly advantageous.
Working Hours
- Initially, this role will be working 4 days per week:
- Monday to Thursday
- 06:00 – 16:30
- or
- 07:00 – 17:30
- There is potential for the role to move to a 5-day working week in the future:
- Monday to Friday
- 07:30 – 16:00
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency and quality targets are achieved
- Lead, manage, and motivate production teams
- Monitor productivity, performance, and workflow
- Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across production
- Manage staffing levels, training, and team development
- Work closely with senior management to meet operational objectives
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and compliance
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience progressing from Production Operative level into a supervisory or management role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams
- Confident communicator with a proactive and resilient approach
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Glass manufacturing experience preferred but not essential
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
