We are seeking a skilled Forklift Counterbalance Driver and Reach Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks to efficiently handle materials, load and unload shipments, and support overall warehouse operations. Your expertise will ensure the smooth flow of goods, maintain safety standards, and contribute to the timely fulfillment of orders. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:00
Duties:
- Operate counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse environment.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely, utilizing appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and clamp trucks.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing shipments, verifying orders, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment in accordance with OSHA standards to maintain safety compliance.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment, cycle counts, and materials handling.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage layouts and improve operational workflows.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote a safe working environment.
- Operate cranes or other heavy machinery as needed for construction or large-scale material handling projects.
- Support warehouse management system updates and data entry related to inventory movements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts (counterbalance, reach trucks and PPT) in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, order picking, shipping & receiving procedures.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations related to material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and inventory management.
- Basic knowledge of construction or materials handling is a plus.
