We are seeking experienced Surface Mount Production Operators to join our client based in Leicester. They are an electronics manufacturing company. Please make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.

The working hours are 7:30 until 4pm Monday to Friday with 2 x 10 min breaks and a 30 minute lunch break. 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, but we shut down at Christmas so between 3-5 days of the 22 are allocated to this each year. Free parking is available on site.

Roles and responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain Surface Mount Assembly equipment
  • Operate and maintain Solder Reflow equipment
  • Produce programmes for Pick Place derived from customer supplied information
  • Programme, Operate and Maintain Selective Conformal Coating equipment
  • Hand placement of surface mount devices
  • A.O.I inspection of PCB assemblies
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills required:
  • Experience in assembly in a production-based role
  • Proficiency in use of computers
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to equality
  • Knowledge of electronic parts, component packages, PCB handling, ESD best practice, and soldering skills are essential
  • Ability to interpret drawings and Bill of Materials
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Awareness of IPC-A-610 standard
