We are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Production Manager to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Dunstable. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has progressed from a hands-on Production Operative role into production leadership and management. We are looking for a confident individual with a strong personality who can lead from the front, motivate teams, and maintain high production standards in a fast-paced environment. Experience within the glass manufacturing industry would be highly advantageous.
Working Hours
Initially, this role will be working 4 days per week: Monday to Thursday 06:00-16:30 or 07:00-17:30. There is potential for the role to move to a 5-day working week in the future: Monday to Friday 07:30-16:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency and quality targets are achieved.
- Lead, manage, and motivate production teams.
- Monitor productivity, performance, and workflow.
- Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across production.
- Manage staffing levels, training, and team development.
- Work closely with senior management to meet operational objectives.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and compliance.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience progressing from Production Operative level into a supervisory or management role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Confident communicator with a proactive and resilient approach.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Glass manufacturing experience preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
