We are looking for skilled and motivated HGV Fitters / Heavy Vehicle Technicians to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work Monday to Friday on a day shift, giving you your evenings and weekends free while being part of a supportive and professional workshop team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
  • Complete inspections, safety checks, and MOT preparation.
  • Ensure all work is carried out efficiently and to the highest safety standards.
  • Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records.
  • Work independently and as part of a supportive workshop team.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as an HGV Fitter, HGV Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Good knowledge of HGV maintenance and repair procedures.
  • A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential for candidates with proven experience.
  • HGV licence is advantageous but not essential.
