Warehouse Manager
to join a food manufacturing operation based in
Dunstable . This is a key leadership role responsible for the effective day-to-day management of warehouse operation, ensuring that stock, people, processes and customer requirements are managed safely and efficiently. You will lead a team of approximately
32 employees working across both day and night shifts , providing clear direction, maintaining high standards and ensuring strong communication across the operation. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage and develop a warehouse team of approximately 32 employees across day and night shifts. Oversee the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately and efficiently. Ensure warehouse activities are carried out in line with
food safety, health & safety and company standards . Manage stock accuracy, inventory control and warehouse organisation. Monitor team performance, productivity and operational KPIs, taking appropriate action where required. Plan and coordinate staffing levels to ensure operational requirements are consistently met. Work closely with Production, Transport, Planning and other departments to ensure smooth end-to-end operations. Maintain effective communication between day and night shift teams. Coach, motivate and develop team members, creating a positive and accountable working environment. Manage attendance, performance, training and other people-related matters in line with company procedures. Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, efficiency and overall performance. Ensure equipment, storage areas and working environments are maintained to a high standard. Respond effectively to operational issues and provide hands-on leadership when required. Be flexible in supporting the team, including attending occasional meetings or dealing with people-management matters
outside normal working hours
when operationally necessary. About You We are looking for someone who can demonstrate: Previous experience in a
Warehouse Management or senior warehouse leadership role , ideally within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar fast-paced environment. Proven experience managing a sizeable team across multiple shifts. Strong people-management and leadership skills. Good understanding of warehouse processes, stock control and operational KPIs. A strong awareness of
health & safety and food safety requirements . Excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to build effective working relationships across different departments and shifts. A practical, hands-on approach with the confidence to make decisions and resolve problems. The flexibility and commitment required to support a multi-shift operation, despite the role being primarily Monday to Friday. A continuous-improvement mindset and the ability to identify and implement better ways of working. What They Offer; £35,000 per annum, negotiable for the right candidate. 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday working pattern. Regular start time between
