We are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Production Manager to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Dunstable. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has progressed from a hands-on Production Operative role into production leadership and management. We are looking for a confident individual with a strong personality who can lead from the front, motivate teams, and maintain high production standards in a fast-paced environment. Experience within the glass manufacturing industry would be highly advantageous.

Working Hours

Initially, this role will be working 4 days per week:

  • Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 16:30 or 07:00 - 17:30

There is potential for the role to move to a 5-day working week in the future:

  • Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency and quality targets are achieved
  • Lead, manage, and motivate production teams
  • Monitor productivity, performance, and workflow
  • Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across production
  • Manage staffing levels, training, and team development
  • Work closely with senior management to meet operational objectives
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and compliance

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience progressing from Production Operative level into a supervisory or management role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams
  • Confident communicator with a proactive and resilient approach
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Glass manufacturing experience preferred but not essential
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
