Key Responsibilities

  • Facilities Operations & Maintenance: Daily floor walks: log, triage and resolve reactive issues via our IT system. Carry out light maintenance (basic carpentry/plumbing/electrical within competence), BMS/HVAC checks, and coordinate building/landlord teams. Plan and track PPM; maintain accurate service records, certificates, and compliance logs. Coordinate and supervise contractors; obtain quotes; manage vendor onboarding/renewals. Support space planning, team moves, desk booking via IT system, AV/IT liaison, and events (room setups/clear-down). Oversee FOH-linked services (stock/inventory, deliveries, hygiene, lockers) and maintain presentation standards.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to UK H&S legislation and site policies, support audits and inspections. Maintain records for fire systems, emergency lighting, EICR/PAT, water hygiene/Legionella and HVAC. Lead DSE tracking, PEEPs coordination, first aid/defib upkeep and weekly life-safety checks. Report and escalate security/H&S defects appropriately.
  • Reporting & Stakeholder Management: Provide regular updates and input to QBRs; coach/coordinate with UK/EU facility reps; act as deputy for the Operations Manager in their absence.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in corporate facilities coordination/building maintenance, including contractor and vendor management.
  • Practical, hands-on mindset with solid troubleshooting capability; strong organisation, prioritisation, and communication.
  • Comfortable balancing in-house fixes vs. outsourcing with cost/safety awareness.
  • Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word; familiarity with ticketing and booking systems advantageous.
  • Desirable technical exposure: MEP, HVAC, plumbing, BMS.

Qualifications

  • Essential: IOSH Managing Safely. Corporate FM experience; hands-on maintenance skills; strong organisation & communication.
  • Desirable: NEBOSH General; City & Guilds (Electrical/Plumbing/Carpentry/Building Services); 18th Edition; F-Gas; Legionella Awareness/Responsible Person; Fire Marshal/Warden; First Aid at Work.

Reports to: Operations Manager, UK Lead.

Travel: Occasional travel to other UK sites.
