A growing construction and refurbishment contractor delivering MoD and housing association projects across Kent and South East London is seeking an experienced purchase ledger clerk to join its finance team at their 2 offices in Rochester and Dartford. This is a hands‑on, part‑time role suited to someone confident in managing finance processes independently within a busy construction environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
  • Preparing supplier payment runs weekly and monthly
  • Monthly reconciliations (bank, credit card, stock)
  • Posting journals (accruals, prepayments, HP agreements)
  • Managing CIS processes including subcontractor verification, deductions and monthly returns
  • Supporting year‑end processes

Requirements:

  • Proven purchase ledger experience, ideally within construction
  • Strong knowledge of VAT, reconciliations and journal postings
  • Experience handling CIS payments and returns
  • Able to work independently and manage workload effectively

Package on offer:
