Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport and delivery of aggregate and construction materials to various sites. This role demands adherence to strict safety standards and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 2 tipper vehicle to transport materials to designated sites.
- Ensure loads are safely and securely transported, adhering to legal load limits.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance issues.
- Safely operate tipping mechanisms to unload materials at delivery sites.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time of departure and arrival, and any issues encountered.
- Adhere to all driving regulations, including tachograph and drivers hours rules.
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as required.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license.
- Valid MPQC card.
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- Digital tachograph card.
- Proven experience as an HGV Class 2 driver, with specific experience operating tipper trucks preferred.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and legal load limits.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and manoeuvring heavy loads.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.

- ADR certification for transporting hazardous materials.
