Are you an experienced IT Engineer who enjoys delivering projects properly from start to finish? We are hiring for a Technical Project Engineer to join a well-established IT services business supporting clients across Essex and London. This is a hands-on project role for someone who enjoys building, installing and delivering complete IT solutions - not just supporting them after the fact.
You’ll work across a wide range of client environments, leading technical projects such as Microsoft 365 migrations, infrastructure upgrades, office relocations, network installations, and meeting room deployments. You’ll be trusted to make sound technical decisions, take ownership of delivery, and ensure every project is completed to a high standard. This role would suit someone who takes real pride in their work, enjoys variety, and wants to be part of a team that values quality, reliability and doing things properly.
The role will involve:
- Planning and delivering IT projects from start to finish
- Microsoft 365 deployments and migrations
- Infrastructure builds and upgrades
- Office relocations and full user setup rollouts
- Meeting room and AV installations
- Network, firewall and connectivity projects
- Testing, documentation and client handover
- Acting as a senior technical escalation point when needed
We are looking for experience in:
- Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID
- Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy
- Networking including switches, VLANs, firewalls and VPNs
- VMware and/or Hyper-V
- Backup solutions such as Veeam, Datto or similar
- Teams Rooms, AV and physical infrastructure installs
- Experience delivering projects within an MSP or multi-client environment would be highly beneficial
What’s on offer:
- A genuinely varied project-focused role
- Real ownership and responsibility
- Exposure to a broad range of technologies and client environments
- A supportive and experienced technical team
- Ongoing training and development
- Competitive salary based on experience
If you’re a technically strong engineer who enjoys delivering projects properly and wants a role with autonomy, variety and real responsibility, we’d love to hear from you.
