This role presents an exceptional opportunity to join a team known for its commitment to client excellence and comprehensive accounting services, supporting a diverse portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, and SMEs.
As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will work collaboratively with experienced Semi-Senior and Senior Accountants, and contribute to the firm's VAT and Payroll departments. This position offers exposure to a broad range of accounting practices and the chance to develop your professional expertise within a supportive and established environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Proactive client relationship management and development.
- Preparation of year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, from initial stages through to finalisation.
- Completion of tax returns and computations for personal, partnership, and corporation tax.
- Proficient utilisation of accounting software, including Iris, Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
- Adherence to strict deadlines and efficient workflow management.
- Professional client liaison and occasional client site visits.
- Experience in VAT and bookkeeping.
- AAT qualification or part-ACCA qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years experience within a practice environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Advanced computer literacy and proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, Iris).
- Ability to reliably commute to Wigan, WN6 7DP.
