A growing construction contractor delivering refurbishment and planned works programmes across MOD housing is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee live works in Woolwich. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role working closely alongside the Programme Manager to ensure projects are running smoothly, safely and on programme.
The Role
- Oversee day-to-day site operations across refurbishment works
- Ensure sufficient labour, subcontractors and materials are on site
- Coordinate contractors and direct staff
- Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations
- Ensure site compliance and quality standards are maintained
- Monitor progress against programme deadlines
- Report into the Programme Manager with regular site updates
- Resolve on-site issues efficiently and proactively
This is a fully site-based position requiring strong leadership presence and attention to detail.
The Candidate
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within refurbishment, planned works or housing projects
- Strong understanding of site compliance and H&S requirements
- Comfortable coordinating subcontractors and managing site teams
- Organised and deadline-focused
- SSSTS required
- CSCS card required
- Full UK driving licence
- Must be able to pass a DBS check (MOD contract requirement)

- £45,000 salary
