They are seeking a construction-experienced Estimator to join its growing build team. This role focuses on pricing and enabling residential extension and renovation projects, while supporting project management, purchasing and logistics. It offers a rare opportunity to gain in-depth exposure to the construction side of architect-led projects, with clear long-term career progression.

Key Duties

  • Estimating (Approx. 70%)
    • Preparing detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities
    • Reviewing architectural and structural drawings
    • Identifying cost risks and value engineering opportunities
    • Producing clear inclusions and exclusions
    • Negotiating subcontractor pricing
    • Maintaining high-quality, structured pricing data
  • Purchasing & Project Support (Approx. 30%)
    • Managing supplier relationships and trade negotiations
    • Coordinating purchasing for live construction sites
    • Supporting project managers with variations and cost queries
    • Ensuring logistical accuracy within project pricing

Requirements

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven residential estimating / quantity surveying experience
  • Strong understanding of architectural and construction drawings
  • High proficiency in spreadsheets (Google Sheets / Excel)
  • Commercial awareness and negotiation ability
  • Ability to work from the Brick Lane studio (with Friday WFH policy)
