This isnt just about quoting numbers its about understanding technical drawings, identifying risks and solutions, and putting together accurate, competitive estimates that reflect both client needs and real-world site conditions. Youll work closely with engineers and the operations team, contributing to projects that protect people and infrastructure from some of natures most unpredictable elements.

Known for taking on high-risk, high-responsibility projects, they work across major public buildings, heritage sites, and critical infrastructure. Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8am 5pm.
Key Duties
- Preparing lightning protection and earthing system estimates and tender submissions
- Analysing drawings, specifications, and technical documents to build accurate costings
- Provide advice and guidance to Contract Managers as well as negotiate terms and conditions
- Engaging with suppliers and subcontractors to source competitive pricing
- Attending occasional site visits to better understand project scope and requirements
- Supporting bid submissions and client queries during the tendering process
Key Requirements
- Previous estimating experience within the lightning protection or specialist electrical sector
- A solid understanding of relevant British Standards and industry regulations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple tenders at once
- Full UK driving licence (site visits may be required)
