About the role
As a CNC Programmer, Setter, and Turner, you will be responsible for creating, testing, and troubleshooting programs for a range of CNC multi-axis lathes. You will work with multi-axis sliding and fixed head lathes to produce intricate components for high-tech industries. The role involves programming from scratch, interpreting complex engineering drawings, setting up machines, and performing critical first-off inspections to ensure every part is crafted to tight tolerances. You will join a stable and highly skilled workforce, contributing to the development of machining strategies for both new and existing parts.

Working hours
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00
Friday: 08:00 – 12:00
Key duties
- Create program for multi-axis CNC lathes
- Setting and operating multi-axis CNC lathes
- Creation of program / machine setting sheets
- Running batch work, checking dimensions using various items of measuring equipment
- Developing machining strategies with Engineering for new and existing parts
Key requirements
- Programming and setting experience of CNC turning machines
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Experience programming Fanuc controlled machines
Desirable
- Previous experience of Citizen sliding head machines
- Experience with Edgecam or equivalent programming software
