We're recruiting a Sous Chef for one of Edinburgh West End's most popular neighbourhood venues — a busy bar and kitchen known for Scottish tapas, small plates, brunch, and Sunday roasts with a genuinely loyal following. This is a hands‑on number two position, working closely with the Head Chef to keep standards high, the team sharp, and service running smoothly across a varied weekly offering.

What We're Looking For:

  • Solid Sous Chef or strong Senior CDP ready to step up
  • Experience in a quality, fresh food kitchen — small plates or similar a bonus
  • Someone who leads from the front and takes ownership of the pass
  • Confident with food cost, prep management, and kitchen organisation
  • A team player who brings energy, not just ability

Why This One:

  • Consistent days off every week — proper work-life balance, not just a promise
  • Strong OTE with a transparent tronc scheme
  • A venue with a real identity and a strong local reputation
  • Fresh, seasonal cooking — no frozen shortcuts
  • Natural progression within a growing, independent company
