Senior Sous Chef – Edinburgh
£37,500-39,000 + Good Tronc/Tip levels; OTE circa £45,000+

We are seeking a dynamic and talented Sous Chef to help lead a high-performing kitchen team in delivering a food offering that\’s as stylish and memorable as the venue itself.

About the Role
As Sous Chef, you\’ll support Head Chef in overseeing daily operations, maintaining exceptional standards, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of the food offering. From vibrant brunches to afternoon tea, all-day dining to bespoke private events, you\’ll help shape a dynamic and trend-forward menu that delights guests and drives business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development and kitchen leadership
- Mentor and lead a passionate brigade of chefs, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Assist in managing kitchen costs, labour efficiency, stock control and overall profitability
- Ensure high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulationsBring creativity and innovation, particularly in brunch, casual fine dining, and events catering
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience in a Head Chef, Sous Chef role, or strong and consistent Junior Sous role within a premium restaurant, or high-end hospitality setting
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a strong focus on team development
- Solid understanding of financial controls, stock management, and rotas
- Tech-savvy and confident with kitchen management software, online ordering, and reporting tools
- Calm under pressure with a passion for quality and consistency
