Some kitchens might teach you how to get through a service. In others you will actually learn how to become a better chef. This is one of those ones.
We're recruiting for a Chef de Partie / Breakfast Chef position within a busy, well-regarded Edinburgh city-centre venue that champions Scottish produce, international influences, and proper hospitality. You'll work across breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner services, giving you exposure to a broad range of cookery while learning from a settled kitchen team with a reputation for developing people and staff retention.
Whether you've learned your trade in high-volume kitchens and want to refine your skills, or you've come from a more technical background and want to master consistency at volume, this is the sort of environment where good chefs tend to progress.
The business is part of a respected Edinburgh hospitality group currently investing heavily in its venues and people. Menus are being refreshed, kitchens upgraded, training expanded, and development programmes rolled out across the group. For chefs who enjoy being part of a business moving forwards, it's an exciting time to come on board.
The Role
You'll work 48 hours across five days, with flexibility to discuss a four-day week for the right person. Typically, two or three shifts each week will cover breakfast through into lunch service, while the remaining shifts focus on lunch and dinner service.
What's On Offer
- £13.25 - £13.50 per hour depending on experience
- Excellent tips worth upwards of £7,000+ per year
- 48 hours over 5 days, with potential flexibility on hours and working pattern
- Strong training, development and progression opportunities
- Group-wide benefits and discounts across a respected Edinburgh hospitality business
- A supportive, stable and experienced kitchen team
We'd Like To Hear From You If You:
- Have experience as a Chef de Partie, Breakfast Chef, or a strong Commis Chef ready for the next step
- Enjoy working across different service styles and hours
- Take pride in consistency, organisation and attention to detail
- Want to continue learning and developing as a chef
- Bring a positive attitude and enjoy being part of a collaborative team
If this sounds like the sort of kitchen you'd like to be part of, we'd love to hear from you.
