We're looking for a Mid-Level Front End Developer to join a busy MI & Application Development team, working alongside a talented junior developer who's sharp technically but still finding their feet when it comes to talking to users and stakeholders. That's where you come in.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building responsive, maintainable front-end applications with React and modern JavaScript
- Working with REST APIs, collaborating closely with the back-end team on integration
- Pairing with and mentoring a junior developer code reviews, guidance, and simply showing them how it's done
- Helping that junior developer grow their confidence talking to users and stakeholders, by modelling how it's done
- Getting stuck into real conversations with business users to turn their needs into practical, well-built UI
- Working within an Agile team (Scrum/Kanban), using Azure DevOps
What You'll Bring
Must-haves:
- Solid experience with React (or another modern JS framework, with a willingness to work in React)
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and HTML5/CSS3
- Comfortable integrating REST APIs
- Git and Agile delivery experience
Nice-to-haves:
- Some C#/.NET awareness, so you can talk the same language as the back-end team
- Familiarity with SQL Server
- Azure DevOps experience
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting more junior developers
