We are currently seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy and professional workshop environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the motor industry while working as part of a supportive and skilled team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Workshop Manager to complete allocated jobs efficiently
- Liaise with the Service Advisor team regarding additional work or customer updates
- Attend training sessions (both on-site and off-site)
- Provide detailed updates on work progress
- Carry out vehicle health checks
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards
- Use diagnostic equipment to assess and verify repairs
- Road test vehicles where required after work is completed
- Complete all relevant service documentation accurately (job cards, reports, worksheets)
- Record clear descriptions of faults identified and repairs carried out
Requirements
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Service and Repair (minimum)
- At least 3 years experience as a Vehicle Technician
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional, reliable, and presentable
- Proactive 'can-do' attitude
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
