Our client is a well-established and growing business based in Trafford Park, known for delivering excellent service and building strong, long-term relationships with their customers. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a proactive and organised Credit Controller / Administrator to join their friendly finance team. This role will focus primarily on credit control, ensuring customer accounts are well managed and payments are collected on time, while also supporting the wider team with administrative tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, managing accounts, and being a key part of a finance team in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the credit control process, including chasing outstanding payments and reducing aged debt.
- Building positive relationships with customers to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Investigating and resolving invoice and billing queries.
- Maintaining accurate customer account records and payment information.
- Producing reports on aged debt and collection activity.
- Supporting the finance team with general administrative duties when required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in credit control or a similar finance role.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills when dealing with customers.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with accounting software such as Sage would be beneficial.
