We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected financial services organisation seeking a talented Oracle DBA to join its growing IT team. The Role
You’ll play a key role in supporting and developing the organisation's Oracle database estate, ensuring business-critical systems remain secure, resilient, and high performing. Working closely with development and infrastructure teams, you’ll be responsible for maintaining Oracle databases, optimising performance, and supporting ongoing technology improvements across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Oracle database environments
- Monitor database health, performance, and availability
- Manage backups, restores, migrations and disaster recovery
- Support database patching, upgrades, and maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
- Maintain Oracle Enterprise Manager and Oracle WebLogic environments
- Automate routine administration tasks where possible
- Ensure database security, compliance, and best practice
- Collaborate with IT teams to deliver reliable, high-quality services
About You
You’ll have experience in Oracle Database Administration and be confident working within enterprise environments.
- Oracle Database Administration experience (Oracle 19c or later preferred)
- Experience with backup and recovery, performance tuning, and database security
- Oracle Enterprise Manager experience
- Oracle WebLogic experience
- Linux operating systems and shell scripting knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach
- Experience with Oracle Engineered Systems, high availability environments or infrastructure automation would be advantageous but is not essential.
Salary up to £55,000
