Flexible People Ltd are recruiting for a leading home delivery client based in Mossend. We are looking for physically fit and reliable candidates to start as van drivers. Full UK license required. Pay rates of £14.26 per hour with an overtime rate of £19.73 for anything worked over 48 hours per week.
About the Role
- Delivering large household items (TVs, white goods, flat‑pack furniture, gym equipment) to residential homes.
- Room‑of‑choice deliveries – full training provided.
- Start times at 06:00, shifts last 9‑11 hours, 5‑6 days per week.
- Weekend work is essential – please do not apply if you are unavailable on Saturdays or Sundays.
Van Driving Duties
- Assisting with deliveries.
- Customer calls prior to delivery – good phone/customer service skills needed.
- Acting as a trained Banksman to guide vehicle reversing (training provided).
- Using a handheld pod to scan deliveries and contact the helpdesk if needed.
Requirements
- Must be physically fit – heavy lifting involved.
- Able to reliably commute to Mossend.
- Must pass a drug test at induction (random testing may also occur).
- Available to work both weekdays and weekends.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- To progress to a Van Driver you must hold a full UK Driving license with no more than 6 points, and no DD, DR or NI convictions.
