Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) Tipper Drivers for a large, well-established client operating within the aggregates and construction industry. Please note: This role does not guarantee full-time hours. Shifts are offered based on business requirements and workload demand.
The Role
As a Class 1 Tipper Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of aggregates and materials to construction sites and depots. Key duties include:
- Operating Class 1 tipper vehicles
- Delivering and collecting aggregates to and from sites
- Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Adhering to road traffic laws and site health & safety procedures
- Accurately completing all required paperwork
Working Hours & Shift Availability
- Primarily Monday to Friday
- Early starts are typical
- Standard shift length: 8.75 hours
- Shifts are offered subject to business needs and are not guaranteed each week
- Drivers must attend all booked shifts in a week to qualify for the bonus
Pay & Bonus Structure
- Flat rate: £15.00 per hour
- Daily bonus: £35.00 per day
- Payable provided the driver:
- Attends all booked shifts offered that week
- Works the full 8.75 hours per shift
Requirements
- To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Have a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Have no more than 6 points on your licence
- Have no DD, DR, or IN endorsements
- Previous tipper or construction site experience is preferred but not essential
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with availability
- Safety-conscious with a good understanding of site rules
- Able to communicate effectively with transport teams and site staff
- Comfortable working in a construction environment
Training & Induction
- Full site induction and health & safety training provided
- PPE requirements will be confirmed prior to starting
