Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting Drivers Mates to work alongside experienced 7.5t lorry drivers for a well-established client based in Southampton.
The Role
As a Drivers Mate, you will assist with the delivery of large items to residential properties, including:
- Flat-pack furniture
- Gym equipment
- White goods
This is a physically demanding role and requires a good level of fitness, as heavy lifting is involved.
Working Hours & Shifts
The client operates 7 days a week. You will receive a weekly schedule of 4 shifts, however you can be offered up to 5 or 6 if you want them. Weekend work is required and expected.
Start time: 06:00
Shift length: approximately 9-11 hours per day.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the driver with safe delivery of goods
- Calling customers ahead of arrival to provide delivery updates
- Delivering excellent customer service at all times
- Acting as a Banksman
